David’s Tent San Diego

Here are some wonderful black and white pictures taken by Cory Riley that captures a little of our sound check at David’s Tent in San Diego. Below is the blurb written in the program for the gathering.

“As the nations of the world start to express their unique God given sound, Mark Riley from the island of Kaua’i and Martin Neil from the UK bring a little of the sound of Hawai’i to David’s Tent. For many years they have been partnering with musicians and exploring the instruments and sounds that are deep within the heart of this beautiful island. Many people will have heard the greeting ‘Aloha’ on the islands – this word means so much more in Hawaiian culture. One of the thoughts behind this word is “a life of Aloha is one where the heart is so full it is overflowing.” Through the instruments, sounds, language and dance this is our hope that it may be an offering to God overflowing from our hearts.”
